How it all started...
I'm Diane, An Author and Photographer
As much as I’ve always called myself a writer and swore that one day I would write a book, I did not set out to write a book a few years ago. Certainly not a poetry book filled with astrology poems and funky photos of said poems with Le Creuset® lids used as props. But that’s exactly what happened. And how it came to be is as natural and on purpose as the sun coming up each day. The book was definitely going to be written, but it was also going to be up to me if I chose to be awake for its birth.

“When the student is ready the teacher appears” is a saying often attributed to Lao Tzu, an ancient Chinese philosopher. My teacher appeared last August in the form of the Tiny Book Course. I decided to take the course and immediately, the idea to collect my astrology poems with pictures into a tiny book began to take shape. I never thought that astrology and poetry would comprise my first book, but just like a beautiful sunrise,
I am happy to share it with you.
I know I speak for most writers when I say I want you to feel something when you read my poems. Inspired. Challenged. Assured. Comforted. Let me know what stirs. Through poetic portraits of the Sun, Moon and planets, Written in the Stars reminds readers that in spite of our earthly sufferings, we are made of stardust too. One needs only gaze skyward to remember we belong to the Universe. And you are never alone.

Diane DiCola is a writer who delights in astrology, numerology, wine tasting and travel. Using her astrological birth chart as a guide to deeper self-understanding, Diane continues to uncover the meaning and purpose of her life with gratitude, wonder and joy.
Drawing upon the virtues of her Libra Sun/Sagittarius Moon/Aquarius Rising blend, Diane shares healing words of hope and grace inspiring us all to create a more peaceful and loving planet Earth.
